My engineering group wants to revise the drawing and avoid PPAP if possible. So, we plan to prepare the 'Product / Process Change Notification' as published in the PPAP 4th Edition Manual which provides a space for the 'Expected PPAP Completion/Submission Date' but I don't see anywhere on the form where we can request an authorized customer signature instead, to waive the PPAP submission. Also, would it be appropriate for the sales rep to handle this or does engineering need to interface directly with the customer? This is our first time requesting a waiver.
